After considering their options, Origin decided the best course of action was to outsource some of the administrative IT tasks to enable them to work on more specific internal projects. Origin organised a competitive tender and invited ComputerLand* and a number of other companies to provide proposals.

ComputerLand won the tender to outsource the essential but technically complex tasks of core IT services provision, security and back-up. The ComputerLand team now delivers comprehensive monitoring, fault resolution and pro-active administration to a multi-site network of 20 servers in line with best practice.
