Head of Education - Geoff Chandler
Current thinking: 
Geoff believes the current financial climate makes it even more important that schools chose to work with technology partners that can deliver quality and value.  His passion is to work in partnership with schools to allow them to focus on their key priorities of learning and teaching.

ICT in Education - particularly in respect of procurement, finance and contracts
Who is Geoff
Geoff’ started his career as a primary school teacher, before becoming an ICT Project Manager at Lincolnshire County Council.  In this role he delivered Lincolnshire’s award winning National Grid for Learning solution to all the schools, libraries and museums etc.  He also managed projects such as Laptops for Teachers, Support for Excluded Pupils and Community Access.  He joined the IT industry as a Principal Consultant and is now Head of Education in the ‘Client Services’ area of the Managed Services Division - responsible for all service delivery within the BSF and FE customers and new business development in the existing client base.

Director of Learning - Steve Smith

Current thinking: 
Steve believes that technology has a key role to play in a range of issues that are highly significant in education today - such as engaging parents,  school design and the whole personalisation agenda.  Steve’s passion is ICT’s role in future learning, and how new approaches can make technology more flexible and appropriate to education’s needs. 
Specialist subject:
ICT in Education - particularly in respect of how technology can transform learning, teaching, management and administration.  In this thought leadership role, Steve has been a contributor to a number of published articles in the education and technology press.
Who is Steve?
Steve entered teaching from the Forensic Science Service and taught Science in secondary schools.  He served as a Sixth Form Tutor & Head of Science before moving to a Deputy Headship at Deacon’s School where he managed the Technology College Programme - one of first dozen specialist schools in UK.   Steve joined The ICT industry as a Senior Education Consultant in 1995 working with many schools bidding for Specialist School status has served in Training, Business Development  and Pre-sales Consultancy Director roles.  Steve has delivered a great many presentations at BETT and other education technology conferences with regard to effective use of ICT in education, and served as a judge for the Becta ICT in Practice and ICT Excellence Awards.
